How many days from a remembered date
Days Since and Birthday Reminder
Anniversaries, visa stamps and “how long since the AGM” questions are day counts from a past date to today. From 1 January 2026 to 18 September 2026 a development run showed 260 days — your result moves every midnight. This is a reminder helper, not a legal limitation-period calculator for court.
A short pause
Housing societies in Thane and alumni groups in Allahabad forget whether 200 days have passed since an event. IndiaKit floors the millisecond difference into whole days. Future dates will show a negative raw difference; the label still says “days since,” so pick a past event.
What this widget does
Days = floor((today − event date) / 1 day). Default event 2026-01-01. The number on your screen is not frozen in this article.
For “days until” a future birthday, the countdown tool is clearer. This page is named for looking backward.
Limitation periods under Indian law (contracts, consumer complaints) need the Limitation Act and a lawyer, not this count.
Days since 1 January 2026 for a Thane society
A secretary in Thane recorded a resolution on 1 January 2026. Opening this page later in the year shows how many days have elapsed. He still files the minutes book; a webpage is not the register.

Uses today’s clock. Time zones near IST midnight can shift the integer. Not legal advice on limitation. Default date is a sample.
Common questions
Why is this in the fun category if societies use it?
Because it is also a birthday toy. The same day-count serves both. Legal limitation needs a statute.
Does it count the start date as day 1?
Floor of elapsed time usually means the start date is day 0 at the same clock time. For inclusive counting, add 1 if your bylaws say so.
Can I enter a time of day?
No, date only. Hours are ignored.
