Some training schemes and apprenticeship ads talk about “age after experience” as a crude check: a 25-year-old with 5 years of work would be 30 at the end of that experience, which is not how hiring actually works — the 5 years already happened. This small tool still adds the two numbers because several internal HR templates ask for it. Read the result as “age + experience years,” not as a date-of-birth engine.

Why CTC is not in-hand

Campus-to-career forms in Pune sometimes want both age and experience and then add them in a spreadsheet. IndiaKit exposes that addition so you can see it is not an age-from-DOB calculation (that is the age tool) and not a months converter.

What we subtract

Result = current age + experience years. Defaults 25 + 5 = 30. Months are ignored; 5 years 11 months still types as 5 unless you round.

Do not use this to reverse-engineer someone else’s date of birth. That would be a privacy nuisance and the math is too crude anyway.

Common questions

Does this mean I will be 30 when I complete 5 years?

Only if the 5 years start today. If you already have 5 years, you are 25 now in the default story, not 30. The sum is a template artefact.

Why does this tool exist then?

Because some internal forms still add the fields. Showing the sum reduces confusion; the limits tell you not to treat it as eligibility.

Can I type 25.5 years of age?

The field is a number; 25.5 + 5 = 30.5. Official age is still better from a date of birth.
