Cycle-length sketch, not a fertility clinic

Ovulation Calculator

A simple consumer sketch places ovulation about 14 days before the next period. With LMP 1 January 2026 and a 28-day cycle, that is 15 January 2026 on this page. Sperm and egg survival, PCOS, and thyroid disease all break the cartoon. This is not medical advice and not contraception.

A screening number, not a diagnosis

Couples in Jaipur tracking a 28-day cycle and nurses teaching community health in Ranchi still need a calendar picture. IndiaKit prints one date and tells you to treat it as an estimate. LH kits and scans belong in real care, not in this form.

The estimate we use

Ovulation date ≈ LMP + cycle length − 14. Defaults: 2026-01-01 and 28 days → 15 January 2026. A 32-day cycle would add four days versus the default.

The fertile window is several days, not a single Thursday. This tool returns one date on purpose so it cannot look like a clinic report.

If you are avoiding pregnancy, do not rely on this page. Use methods a gynaecologist has approved.

28-day cycle from 1 January 2026 in Jaipur

A couple in Jaipur types LMP 1 January 2026 and 28 days. The sketch shows 15 January 2026. They buy an LH kit and book a clinician rather than treating 15 January as a medical fact.

See a clinician if a number worries you

Not medical advice, not birth control, not an infertility workup. Irregular cycles need a doctor. Default dates are samples.

Common questions

Can I use this as contraception?

No. Calendar methods have high failure rates without training, and this page is even thinner than a taught method. Speak to a registered medical practitioner.

Why minus 14?

Luteal phases are often near 14 days in textbooks. Real luteal length varies. That is why this is a sketch.

Does a 15 January ovulation match a 8 October due date?

Conception timing and 280-day EDD are related but not identical models. Use both only as conversation starters with a clinician.
